Scope

This policy covers Transaction Notes, a private tool operated by Andrew Siradas, and its associated SMS messaging program. The operator is the only recipient of messages from this program.

Mobile information and third parties

No mobile opt-in data, phone number, or consent record is shared with, sold to, rented to, or disclosed to any third party or affiliate for any marketing or promotional purpose. This applies without exception.

The only disclosure of a phone number that occurs at all is to the messaging provider that carries the message, solely in order to deliver it, which is a necessary part of sending an SMS and is not a marketing or promotional use.

What information is collected

• A single mobile phone number, belonging to the operator, used as the message destination.
• Bank transaction alert details received by email: transaction amount, merchant name, transaction date, an account description, and the last four digits of the card.
• The text of reply messages sent by the operator, stored as a note against the corresponding transaction.
• Message delivery identifiers and status returned by the messaging provider.

How that information is used

Solely to operate the tool: to send the operator a message about their own transaction, to match the operator's reply back to the correct transaction, and to store the resulting note. It is used for no other purpose.

The information is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, resale, or any form of marketing. It is not used to build or enrich any profile, and it is not combined with data from other sources.

What is deliberately not collected

Messages and stored records do not contain full card numbers, account numbers, card expiration dates, security codes, account balances, login credentials, government identifiers, or location data. The raw bank alert email is not retained after it has been processed.

Storage and retention

Records are stored in a private database accessible only to the operator. Transaction records are retained for the operator's own reference until the operator deletes them. There is no other party with access.

Message frequency and rates

Messages are sent only in response to a bank transaction alert, so frequency follows the operator's own card activity. In practice this is a few messages per day at most, and often none. Message and data rates may apply.
